Your Child Is A Masterpiece, But Who Is The Artist?

· In: Blog, Homeschool Encouragement

Your Child Is A Masterpiece, But Who Is The Artist?

Here’s a little encouragement for the homeschool mom today!

You out of everyone else knows first hand that your child is a masterpiece.

But do you ever sit and think that your child is a masterpiece because they were made by the Master Potter’s hands?

Let’s think about this for a sec…what makes a masterpiece, a masterpiece anyway?

A masterpiece doesn’t usually happen on the first try.

Nope, not at all.

The artist has to work on it, improve it, put more work into it, and continue the rigorous process to make it a “perfect” masterpiece.

And you know what?

God does that in your children, PLUS He has given you your children, therefore, YOU are also one of the “potters” to form, mold, and make your children into something beautiful.

Your Child Is A Masterpiece, But Who Is The Artist?

Honestly, have you ever looked at a piece of art or famous art that you were like “what makes this a masterpiece, it’s ugly, dumb or I just don’t get it”, while others see it as the most beautiful thing???

It’s the same thing with our children.

When others may mock you for homeschooling your children, or make fun because your child struggles in a subject, or think your child is odd or weird because they enjoy things that are not the “norm” for this generation of kids…

Remember that they are NOT the ones who set the standard for what is and what is NOT a masterpiece.

You might have one that really excels in reading and started reading at 5…

And then you might have others that don’t pick up reading until age 10…

You might have a child who thinks math is the easiest thing ever…

And then you might have others who will struggle with math their entire school career (as I did ✋!)

no matter what the struggles or gifts your child has, your child is still a masterpiece in the making.

SO be encouraged as you CONTINUE TO INVEST YOUR TIME, LOVE AND ENERGY INTO THEM as well as being formed and molded by God and YOU, to make them into something beautiful.
